Boat trip on the Tagliamento River – Emerald River

The Tagliamento River offers a succession of wonderful and evocative landscapes, from the fertile lands of the colourful Bibione countryside to the scenic lagoon, passing through fragrant willow forests, in an atmosphere of silence and peace.

The Tagliamento is the king of Friuli’s rivers. Peaceful and majestic, between embankments and bridges, it is the quiet travel companion of many nature lovers. It is one of the few European rivers that still flows naturally within its own riverbed. In the northern area it is more powerful and gravelly, while to the south it becomes calmer and more gentle, just before meeting the Adriatic Sea.

It is precisely in the southern stretch that our navigation begins aboard the majestic “Emerald River” vessel, named after the characteristic emerald colour of the river water. The boat is 40 m x 10 m, arranged over three decks: two enclosed and one open-air deck with terrace and bar.

Meeting point every Wednesday at 11:30 AM at Marina Azzurra Resort, from where the mooring lines are released for a ca. 2.5-hour excursion. During the trip, you can admire the Tagliamento River from a completely new perspective, sailing upstream to the Pertegada area and then reaching the river mouth, enjoying views of the beaches of Bibione and Lignano from the water.

During the cruise, guests are accompanied by pleasant background music and can enjoy a delicious seafood pasta dish. A bar service is available on board throughout the excursion.
